Event Details:

The City of Dieppe, in collaboration with the Dieppe Military Veterans Association, is organizing a ceremony commemorating the Battle of Britain and the efforts of the air forces during the Second World War. The event will take place at J.-Laurie-Cormier Park on Sunday, September 14, 2025, beginning with a military parade at 1:30 p.m.

The ceremony will be followed by a reception at the Dieppe Golden Age Club, located at 445 Acadie Avenue.

The Battle of Britain, which began in 1940, involved the British Royal Air Force, the Royal Canadian Air Force, as well as airmen from several Allied countries. In total, 112 Canadian soldiers took part in the battle, 23 of whom lost their lives. Three were awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in recognition of their efforts.

In case of rain, the event will be held at the Dieppe Golden Age Club.
